What is once-fired pistol brass?
By Forinfos - 31/07/2025 - 0 comments
Once-fired pistol brass is the spent shell casing of previously fired pistol ammunition. Once a round is fired, the brass or nickel casing that housed the bullet and gunpowder is usually ejected. This empty shell can be reloaded and used again.
The term "once-fired" may not always be literal. A shell casing may be reloaded numerous times. The brass usually sold by commercial firms is collected from military sources and private gun ranges. With the prevalence of reloading businesses and home ammunition hobbyists, it is likely that at least a percentage of the brass has been used more than once.
