What is The Sports Network channel?

The Sports Network, or TSN, is a sports specialty channel based in Canada. The channel's networks focus on sports-related programming, live and recorded telecasts, and sports talk shows.

A former employee of CBC Sports, Gordon Craig, founded the channel in 1984. TSN is a major broadcaster of ice hockey in Canada, holding the national cable rights to broadcast NHL games.

The network also airs coverage of international sporting events, such as Formula One and NASCAR racing events, some of ESPN's NFL analysis and highlight programs. The Sports Network is Canada's main outlet for TNT's NBA coverage and the current holder of exclusive Canadian rights to the NBA Finals.
