Who makes Spring Valley vitamins?

According to Whole Foods Magazine, Spring Valley vitamins is a private label of Walmart. The Advertising Age website states that Walmart launched the vitamin line in 1999.

Consumers should not confuse the Spring Valley vitamins sold at Walmart with the vitamins and other supplements produced by Spring Valley Herbs. The official website of Spring Valley Herbs clarifies that it has no association with the Walmart products.

Walmart states that any of its products that do not list a country of origin are manufactured in the Untied States. Its line of vitamins is neither manufactured nor bottled in China or Taiwan; however, some Spring Valley vitamin products do contain raw materials sourced from that region.
