What is Squadron Tower Defense?

Squadron Tower Defense is a custom map developed for "Starcraft II," where a team of one to eight players build defenses and manage resources to withstand 31 waves of enemies. The map and game mode are based off an older "Warcraft III" custom map called Legion Tower Defense.

The game separates each player to a separate lane with a warp lane through which the enemy waves start appearing. The player can only build towers in his lane, and each tower generates AI-controlled fighters that attempt to deflect the enemy wave. Aside from creating fighters, the player also has worker drones that gather resources that can be used to buy improvements for their defenses.
