The square root of 0 is also 0. This is because 0 multiplied or divided by any number is 0. There is only one other number where the square root is equal to the original number, namely 1.
The square root of a number is a number that is smaller or equal to the original number that can yield the original number if multiplied by itself. For example, the square root of 9 is 3, and 3 multiplied by 3 equals 9. This check is called squaring a number, which is the opposite operation to taking the square root of a number.
