Where is St. Martin in the Caribbean?

St. Martin is an island that lies 300 kilometers to the east of Puerto Rico in the Caribbean Sea. Its location is 18” 04’ N and 63” 03’W. It is part of the Leeward Islands archipelago in the Lesser Antilles.

St. Martin measures 87 square kilometers in area. As of 2014, part of the island is under the sovereignty of France, and the other part is under the sovereignty of the Netherlands. As of January 2009, the population of the island is 77,741. The biggest cities on the island are Phillipsburg and Marigot. The island enjoys a warm tropical climate with a temperature range of 20 degrees Celsius to 34 degrees Celsius.
