Coventry Health Care, Inc. is based in Bethesda, Maryland, and offers insurance products in every U.S. state, as of 2015. Coventry Health Care is nationally managed health care company that offers both fee-based and risk-based insurance products.

Coventry offers individual and group insurance plans, as well as managed care plans under Medicaid and Part C and Part D Medicare plans. Coventry also offers worker’s compensation insurance and network rental services. Around 5 million individuals are serviced by Coventry Health Care as of 2015.

In May of 2013, health insurance giant Aetna announced it had completed its acquisition of Coventry Health Care.
