Which state do most metals exist in at room temperature?

Most metals are solids at room temperature as they have high melting points. Mercury is the only metal that occurs in liquid form at this temperature.
Metal alloys, such as bronze and brass, have the same properties as pure metals. These elements appear shiny in their solid state and are malleable and ductile with high deformation. This means they can be deformed, shaped and drawn into wire without breaking.
Metals are also electrical and thermal conductors with high densities. Additional properties include large atomic radii and low electronegativity and ionization energies. Valence electrons in metals move freely and are removed easily, which accounts for many of these characteristics.
