Which state quarter is worth the most?

There is no significant difference in the net worth of any given state quarter. So many cast from 1999 through 2008 that many decades need to pass before there is a significant increase in their value.

The true difference in the value of these popular coins is determined by the types of errors that the U.S. Mint did not catch and that subsequently went into the general circulation. The most famous and most valuable of these errors occurred in 2004 by the Denver Mint. The Denver Mint allowed approximately 35,000 of the "Extra Leaf" Wisconsin state quarters to invade the general circulation; one of these quarters could fetch about $200 at auction as of 2014.
