Who is Stephanie Courtney?

Stephanie Courtney is an American actress and improviser, famous for playing the character “Flo” for Progressive Insurance commercials since 2008. She has also taken supporting roles in films such as “The Heartbreak Kid” and “Blades of Glory.”

She hails from Stony Point, New York, but later moved to Los Angeles, where she began doing stand-up. She has performed twice at Aspen Comedy Festival. Courtney is an English graduate from Harpur College. She is a member of The Groundings, a sketch comedy theater in Los Angeles. Recently, Ad Age named her one of the top female ad icons of all time.
