What is My StoryMaker?

My StoryMaker is a website from the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh where children can create their own illustrated stories. It is a game where players select characters and their actions, and my StoryMaker puts them together into a readable story.

After choosing a main character and that character's main goal, the game guides players through the process of creating the story with their Story Helper. They can add characters, items, scenery objects and settings, as well as the characters' feelings, actions and interactions with other characters. The app writes sentences with the elements players select, or the players can choose to type in their own stories. Players can save and print their completed books.
