What are Straight Talk cell phones?

Straight Talk cell phones are prepaid phones available through TracFone Wireless and don't require users to sign a contract or pass a credit check. Rather than paying monthly bills, users select a pay-as-you-go plan that includes data, text messaging and phone calls. In addition to buying phones through Straight Talk, users can bring their own devices and purchase a SIM card from the company.

As of 2015, iPhone, BlackBerry, Nokia, LG and Motorola devices are among Straight Talk's product selection. The company's service plans include options for unlimited calling and messaging, but high-speed data has a limit of 3 GB before the company throttles the speeds.
