What is the Susan G. Komen 3-Day?

The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a three-day event to help raise money to fight breast cancer. During the three-day event, participants walk 60 miles to help raise awareness for breast cancer.

The Susan G. Komen 3-Day event first started in 2003 and is currently held in seven locations throughout the United States, as of 2015. The 60-mile walk has pit stops, and each participant walks between 15 and 22 miles daily during the event. Each walker must be a minimum of 16 years old and agree to raise a minimum amount of $2,300 for the fundraiser. Walkers must also show proof of insurance for acceptance into the event.
