Where is the Swing at the End of the World?

Near Ecuador's Mt. Tungurahua, there is a scientific observation station that includes a very photogenic swing that is known as the Swing at the End of the World. This swing, which is simply made of ropes and a plank of wood hanging off of a tree branch, allows users to swing out over a canyon.

This canyon is the "end of the world" that is referenced in the swing's dramatic name. The swing has no security such as straps or harnesses, but the swing does not actually take users directly out over the deepest part of the canyon; the structure is located on a steep hill.
