Symptoms of a bee sting allergy include difficulty swallowing or breathing, itching, hoarseness, wheezing and dizziness, according to WebMD. Other symptoms include rapid swelling around the tongue, lips or eyes and swelling of the throat. Loss of consciousness, hives or a red rash, and stomach cramps are other symptoms.

These symptoms may indicate anaphylactic shock, which is a medical emergency, notes WebMD. If the stung person experiences these symptoms, dial 911 or seek medical attention immediately, even if previous stings only caused mild reactions. Minor symptoms at the site of the sting, such as pain, redness, itching, burning or swelling, are normal, generally mild and do not indicate a serious problem.
