The person might also develop sleep disturbances or become sensitive to noise or light. Untreated head injuries can be life threatening, so if experiencing any of these symptoms in connection with such an injury, it's important to seek immediate medical attention.

Other serious physical symptoms of a head injury are a blown pupil and fluid that drains from the orifices of the head, claims WebMD. This fluid can be clear or bloody. The victim can also suffer from a drop in blood pressure, convulsions and vomiting that doesn't stop. They may present with bruises around the face, as well as have a severe headache, blurred vision, and difficulty in speaking. Personality changes can occur as well, including irritability or restlessness.
