Zdeno Chara is 6 feet 9 inches tall. A professional hockey player, Chara is a defenseman who plays for the National Hockey League's Boston Bruins. As of 2014, he serves as the captain of the team.

Zdeno Chara was born on March 18, 1977 in Trencin, Slovakia. He first joined the NHL in 1996 when he was drafted by the New York Islanders. Subsequently, he played in the NHL for the Ottawa Senators and the Bruins, with whom he signed as a free agent during 2006. Chara was a member of the Bruins when they won the Stanley Cup during the 2010 to 2011 season.
