Does Target accept EBT?

Target does accept the EBT card for food purchases. This includes the regular Target stores as well as the larger SuperTarget stores, which are located in 48 states as 2014.

Customers may only use the EBT card to purchase eligible food items, as set forth by the EBT program. Eligible food items are those purchased to feed households only. These food items include meats, breads and cereals, fruits and vegetables, and dairy products. Seeds and plants that produce fruits and vegetables are also eligible. Items that cannot be purchased with the EBT card include pet food, vitamins and medications, spirits and tobacco, and household supplies.
