What is InPrivate browsing?

InPrivate browsing is an Internet Explorer privacy feature that allows users to browse the Internet without leaving a trail in the form of passwords, user names, cookies, form data, temporary Internet files and browsing history. It prevents anybody else from viewing the sites visited by the user.

InPrivate browsing can be started by holding down the Ctrl, Shift and P keys, from the Safety menu, or from the New Tab page. Multiple tabs can be opened within the InPrivate browsing window. The InPrivate browsing session ends when the browser window is closed. On other browsers, the InPrivate browsing feature is known as Incognito mode or privacy mode.
