How do you sync your iPod with your computer?

An iPod can be synced to a computer using Apple iTunes. Open iTunes on the computer, then connect the iPod to the computer using a USB cable. iTunes automatically recognizes the device and syncs it.

To turn on sync, find the icon that corresponds with the connected device in iTunes. Click on one of the types of media in the left pane to go to a menu that allows the setting of sync options. Turn sync on or off by checking the appropriate box, then use the options in the sub-menu to designate which materials should be synced. iTunes automatically syncs the iPod with the computer whenever the iPod is connected to a USB port.
