The main ingredient in Tenderflake lard is pure non-hydrogenated Canadian pork lard, which is naturally solid and contains only 1 percent trans fat. In addition to this, BHA, BHT and citric acid are used as food preservatives and keep the lard from spoiling for longer periods of time. The preservatives have antioxidant qualities that retain the odor, color, and flavor of the lard product.
