  1. Choose a thinner

    Clear nail polish remover is a great alternative to nail polish thinner, and you probably already have it on hand. Choose which thinner to add to your nail polish bottle.

  2. Add the thinner

    Add just a few drops of nail polish thinner or clear nail polish to the nail polish bottle. Remember, a little bit goes a long way. Too much thinner will make your nail polish runny.

  3. Mix the thinner and polish

    Gently roll the nail polish bottle in your hands to mix the thinner with the nail polish. Do not shake.
