The Three Laws of Robotics were a unifying theme through much of Asimov's work. The laws have been changed and expanded upon over the years by Asimov and other writers. Asimov's Three Laws have been featured in a number of celebrated science fictions stories, prominent films and other forms of media since they were first introduced in 1942.
