What are some tips for growing lisianthus?

It can take 22 to 24 weeks for a lisianthus, or Texas Bluebell, to develop from seeds, so a faster option is to buy seedlings ready for transplant. The transplant should happen as soon as the threat of frost is over, as remaining in a container can harm the lisianthus.
The lisianthus requires well-draining soil in an area with abundant sun. Plant them 6 to 8 inches apart so their multi-branching stems support each other as they grow. If the plant becomes top-heavy after fully blooming, supporting it with a stake is beneficial. The soil should be moist but not too wet, and watering should cease when the plant is dormant.
