Those calling the toll-free number reach a voice mailbox and can listen to a nutritional message in English and Spanish or receive the informational materials. Callers generally receive these materials within two to three days. Personnel mail out the material from Monday through Friday, except for federal holidays. As of January 2015, the system is unable to transfer callers to individual state numbers.
