What is the toll FasTrak?

By Forinfos - 19/08/2025 - 0 comments

FasTrak is the electronic system for collecting tolls on California's roads, lanes and bridges. A FasTrak account holder fixes a transponder to his windshield and drives through toll collection points without stopping to make a payment, as overhead or roadside receivers collect the toll from his account automatically.

You should sign up for a FasTrak account with the toll collection agency in the area where you drive the most, but can use your transponder to pay for any toll throughout California. You pay a deposit for the transponder and prepay a set amount into your account to cover the initial tolls. You then top up your account regularly by credit card, cash or check.
