Who is Tomoyo in "Clannad"?

Tomoyo is a powerful fighter in "Clannad" known for her kicks. She is first introduced at her school's gates beating up students from a neighboring engineering school.

Tomoyo is the motherly figure in "Clannad," often putting the other characters' needs before her own. She arrives early at two other characters' house to take them to school every morning. Tomoyo wants to be student council president, though the committee in charge of nominating students set out to defame her. Through comforting her, the main character Tomoya grows closer to her. Tomoyo eventually begins to cook meals for Tomoya in his father's absence, and they become romantically involved.
