Where are toothpicks made?

According to The Online Magazine of the American Enterprise Institute, toothpicks are made in Minnesota by the Diamond Company. This is the last toothpick manufacturing site in the United States.

Toothpicks were first commercially produced in Medieval Portugal. Its Portuguese design was considered to be the best possible shape for its purpose, and the toothpick soon made its way to Brazil and then to the Eastern United States, where it was mass produced for the first time. Toothpick production reached the billions in North America by the early 20th century, By the 1990s, toothpick production reduced drastically due to advances in dentistry and oral care products.
