When do tornadoes happen?
By Forinfos - 11/05/2026 - 0 comments
Tornadoes can happen at any time during the year, but are more likely to occur between May and June in the southern area of the United States. In the upper Midwest and northern regions of the United States, tornado season is considered to be in June or July.
Typically, tornadoes occur between 4 to 9 P.M., though they can appear at any time of the day. As of 2014, regions around the United States where tornadoes occur at a relatively high rate have been nicknamed the "Tornado Alley." While this term covers a majority of areas where tornadoes appear in the United States, deadly and violent tornadoes also occur outside of it.
