What are the trading hours for the Toronto Stock Exchange?

The regular trading day for the TSX is 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, according to the Toronto Stock Exchange. Extended or after-hours trading for market participants is available from 4:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST each trading day.

The Toronto exchange closes for Canadian holidays, including Family Day, Victoria Day, Canada Day, and Civic Holiday and Labour Day, the TMX has announced. It observes some holidays common to the U.S. and Canada, including New Year's, Good Friday and Thanksgiving. The exchange closes for two consecutive days in late December: Christmas and Boxing Day. The trading day ends at 1 p.m. EST on Dec. 24.
