When do you transplant elephant ears?
By Forinfos - 22/02/2025 - 0 comments
The safest times to transplant elephant ears are during the spring and early summer. Elephant ears can be transplanted when they become too large or to make new plants.
When transplanting elephant ears, be sure to choose a shady location or one that only receives the morning sun. The large leaves of this plant will shade any smaller plants, so keep that in mind during transplantation.
Transplanted elephant ears need a quality granular fertilizer and the soil should always be kept moist. The plant will retain more water if there is about an inch of organic mulch around the base of the plant.
