What is a tritium light?
By Forinfos - 13/06/2025 - 0 comments
A tritium light is a green, glowing light source that has been chemically created with radioactive hydrogen and phosphor. The tritium light is created by sealing tritium gas inside laser-sealed glass tubes coated with phosphor.
The tritium gas reacts with a phosphor coating inside the glass tube to create the signature green glow. The glow can last for 10 to 20 years. These lights do not dispense any heat and do not catch fire or explode. A tritium light does not need an energy source to work or a light source to recharge. A tritium light is a safe light source to use in water.
