What is a tumbling pass in cheerleading?

According to Emeth Gymnastics, LLC, the tumbling pass is a series of connected tumbling elements. A minimum of three tumbling skills are require to qualify as a tumbling pass. Long passes may contain up to eight elements.
A cheerleader who performs a round-off, back handspring and back salto has completed a tumbling pass. Another option might be a tinsica followed by a round-off and a back handspring. However, a tumbling pass does not need to consist of three unique skills. For example, if a cheerleader were to execute a round-off followed by a back handspring and a second back handspring, that also would be considered a tumbling pass.
