George wants Lennie to remember to return to the spot in the woods where the two first camp out and to hide in the brush if he gets into any trouble. George and Lennie are characters in John Steinbeck's classic novel "Of Mice and Men."
Lennie, a character with mental disabilities, depends on his friend, George, to look after him and get him out of trouble as they travel and work together. The novel is set in rural California during the Depression era of the 1930s. Because work was scarce, George and Lennie traveled from ranch to ranch in search of jobs. When the novel opens, the two men are headed to a new ranch to find work after being run out of the previous town because of Lennie's actions.
