What type of clothing do they wear in Trinidad?

In Trinidad, it is customary to wear light, casual clothing due to the humid weather conditions. Women often wear sun dresses or skirts. Men commonly wear shorts or cotton slacks with short-sleeve shirts.

For winter nights, it is common for both males and females to wear light sweaters or cardigans. Women sometimes wear shawls. Though swimwear and other revealing clothing items are acceptable on the beach, it is frowned upon to wear such items in restaurants, pubs, stores and other public areas. For upscale dinners, men wear suits and ties, while women wear formal, modest dresses or skirts with nice blouses.
