The Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit charitable organization, and it is run entirely by volunteers. The Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary is located in Montgomery, Texas. Its goal is to provide a permanent home for wolves that cannot be released into the wild.
The Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary also accepts wolf-dog hybrids. In addition to providing a home for wolves and wolfdogs, the sanctuary also works to educate the public about these animals. The sanctuary does not buy, sell or breed wolves or wolfdogs. It was founded in October 2002 by Jean LeFevre in order to provide a home for several wolves left homeless after another sanctuary was shut down.
