What are typical uses of chain sprockets?
By Forinfos - 01/06/2025 - 0 comments
The most common use for chain sprockets is to drive motion in bicycles and motorcycles. They also support movement in tracked vehicles, machinery and some cars.
Chain sprockets serve to convey motion from one shaft to another where slippage is not permissible and gears cannot be used. The pedal shaft in bicycles supports a large sprocket that conveys motion through a chain to a smaller sprocket on the rear wheel. Through an identical mechanism, front and rear chain sprockets on motorcycles drive the power and speed of the machines. The ratio of teeth between the front and rear sprockets on motorcycles directly impacts the driver’s ability to reach higher gearing speeds.
