Who is an Uberx driver?

Almost anyone over the age of 21 with a valid driver's license can become an UberX driver. UberX drivers must have a clean driving record and possess a relatively recent model of car.

UberX is the most inexpensive of the services that Uber offers, and these drivers pick up passengers in their personal cars. Often, these drivers use common sedans or economy cars. As of April 2015, Uber only guarantees that the car picking up the passenger is in good working order and a model year of 2006 or newer. Customers can arrange for larger vehicles for relatively low prices through the UberXL service.
