To use a garden drip watering system, connect the system to a water supply and wind the drip hose around garden beds. Turn on the tap on the water supply to water the entire garden.
Install and use a drip watering system for the garden by running through the following steps.
- Connect the hose
- Arrange the tubing
- Puncture holes in the tubing
- Seal off the ends and cover the tube
- Water the garden
Connect the hose swivel to an outdoor water supply. Connect the tubing to the hose swivel.
The tubing is a non-drip hose that connects the water supply to the plant beds. Anchor the tubing to the ground with stakes to keep it in place.
Arrange the tubing around garden beds, shrubs and trees. Anchor the tubing down periodically to keep it in place.
Poke holes in the tubing in areas where drip irrigation is desired. Punch larger holes around 1/2 inch in diameter to add sprayers to the tubing. These are useful in areas that require more watering.
When the hose reaches the end of the garden, trim the piping with a pipe cutter. Seal off tube by folding and clamping the end. Cover the tubing in mulch to keep it concealed and protected.
To water the garden with the drip system, simply turn on the tap to the water supply.
