How do you use a sandwich maker?

To use a sandwich maker, place your bread buttered side down in the sandwich maker, and place your desired ingredients and another slice of buttered bread on top of it. Cook the sandwich for 3 minutes.

1. Preheat the machine

   Turn on the appliance, and allow it to heat up for 5 minutes.

2. Prepare the bread

   Coat one side of each piece of bread with butter or margarine.

3. Lay down the first slice

   Place the first slice of bread, spread side down, within the slot.

4. Lay down the rest of the sandwich

   Place the ingredients on top of the first slice of bread, and then lay the second slice, spread side up, on top of them.

5. Cook the sandwich

   Close the appliance, and follow the cook time determined by the recipe.
