How do you use toothpaste to heal a hickey?

Hickeys can be lightened by gently massaging toothpaste onto the bruise. Any brand of toothpaste should work, but mint is considered more effective.

1. Apply the toothpaste to the affected area

   Apply the toothpaste as soon as possible for best results, and lightly massage it onto the skin.

2. Remove the toothpaste

   Leave the toothpaste on the mark for several minutes only if you have sensitive skin, then gently remove it with a cloth that has been soaked in warm water.

3. Leave toothpaste overnight

   If sensitive skin is not a problem, the toothpaste may be left on overnight and wiped away in the morning.

4. Wait a day

   If the hickey is still visible after the toothpaste treatment, wait a day before trying the remedy again, because toothpaste can damage your skin if used excessively.
