What are the uses of white ash leaves?

Some uses of white ash leaf include its use as a topical medicinal remedy for insect bites, relief for fevers and stomach illness, and a preventative measure for snakebites. White ash leaf was traditionally used by Native Americans but is still used by some Europeans today.

Native Americans used the white ash leaf for interesting medicinal purposes, such as an appetite stimulant, an aphrodisiac, a laxative and tonic for women after they had gone through childbirth, and a styptic to stop bleeding wounds. The juices from the leaf have also historically stopped the swelling of mosquito bites. It may also be made into bark tea to remove lice or other scalp itching.
