The Veterans Affairs Medical Center associated with Johnson City is located at the corner of Lamont Street and Veterans Way in Mountain Home, Tennessee. James H. Quillen VA Medical Center provides services to more than 17,000 veterans in 41 counties located in Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia and Kentucky.

James H. Quillen VA Medical Center is a 114-bed tertiary care hospital with services such as a Nursing Home Care Unit, substance abuse program and homeless outreach programs. A U.S. National Cemetery is located on the campus. The medical center is a teaching hospital affiliated with the James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University.
