As of March 2015, the best value cruise line is Carnival, according to U.S. News and World Report. The magazine ranks Celebrity Cruises as number two, followed by Norwegian. Rounding out the top five are Royal Caribbean International and Disney.

Carnival cruises are particularly popular with less-affluent customers, U.S. News and World Report notes. Carnival's prices are generally 20 percent lower than the other cruise lines. Celebrity caters to a more sophisticated client base with its cooking, language and health classes, while Disney is geared toward families with children. Royal Caribbean boasts two of the largest passenger ships in the world, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas.
