ViewPoint Bank joined forces with LegacyTexas Bank in 2014 to form LegacyTexas. Its headquarters are located in Plano, Texas, and it operates 47 branch locations in 19 cities throughout the North Texas/Dallas-Fort Worth area. Established in 1952, the bank has over $6 billion in assets, as of 2015.

LegacyTexas specializes in consumer banking, business banking and commercial banking. It offers a full range of financial services through its subsidiaries, LegacyTexas Insurance and LegacyTexas Title, and through its mortgage division. The bank is a subsidiary of the LegacyTexas Financial Group, Inc., which is publicly traded on the Nasdaq exchange. It is one of the largest locally based banks in Texas.
