Who is the best volleyball player in the world?

The international volleyball federation named Charles Frederick "Karch" Kiraly the greatest men's volleyball player in the world in 1986, and he still holds that title. His successes came in both beach and indoor volleyball because he was able to master both versions of the game.

Kiraly was the first volleyball player to win three gold medals. He has been inducted into the Volleyball and U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame. In beach volleyball, he ended his career with a record-setting 144 event victories. He had a vertical jump of 41 inches. Kiraly is retired, but the skills he displayed when he was playing make him the best volleyball player in the world.
