What are some weather crafts for kids?

Kids can learn about the weather and get crafty by making a rain hat out of a clean, milk jug cut to fit the diameter of a head and decorated with paint, glitter and markers. An additional weather craft can be coloring pictures of each season on construction paper.

Kids can get crafty and learn about weather patterns by creating a mock version of the northern lights with streamers, or they can create a poster board map of the United States that details the common weather patterns with drawn rain drops, snow or sunshine. On those rainy days, kids can also craft paper umbrellas using cardboard paper towel inserts as the base and construction paper as the umbrella's shade.
