Where were the last Olympic games held?

As of 2014, the most recent Olympic Games were held in Sochi, Russia. The Winter Games in Sochi were held in February of 2014. Sochi is located on the coast of the Black Sea near the border of Georgia and Russia. Roza Khutor, a neighboring ski resort in Krasnaya Polyana, hosted the alpine and Nordic events.

As of 2014, the most recent Summer Games were held in London, England, from July 27 to Aug. 12, 2012. Most of the events took place in London, but some of the events, such as canoeing, sailing and mountain biking, were held at suitable venues elsewhere in England.
