Dianne (Dee Dee), Peggy, Kathy and Janet Lennon were born to William and Sis Lennon on Dec. 1, 1939, April 8, 1941, Aug. 2, 1943 and June 15, 1946, respectively. These "American Sweethearts" formed a singing quartet who got their start on "The Lawrence Welk" television show in 1955.
The group also performed for presidents, made albums and appeared on other television show. Various configurations of the group still sing together and later expanded to include younger sister Miriam (Mimi), born Oct. 16, 1955.
The 12 Lennon siblings also included two younger sisters, Annie and Mary, and five brothers. Mary was hit by a car and killed in 1955 at the age of 16 months.
