"The Bachelor" is an American competitive reality television program that airs on the ABC network. The popular dating show completed its 19th season, which featured farmer Chris Soules as the bachelor, in March 2015. Approximately 9.5 million viewers tuned in to watch Soules propose to winning contestant Whitney Bischoff, choosing her over runner-up Becca Tilley. Soules and Bischoff later called off the engagement, but announced their marriage the following summer.
